Welcome

Come along to our Plant Sale at Burghead, Saturday morning 25 May 2013 The Biblical Garden is in a peaceful setting adjacent to Elgin Cathedral, and was opened to the public in 1996.

At the outset the gardens were carefully tended by trainees from The Moray Council.  This work is now the responsibility of horticultural students from Moray College UHI during the academic year.  Outwith term time maintenance of the Gardens is assured by “Friends of the Biblical Garden” and The Moray Council.

The AGM will be held Wednesday, 29th May 2013, Room C014, Moray College UHI, Moray Street, Elgin, at 7pm. All welcome. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available. The Gardens continue to develop from year to year thanks to the generosity and goodwill of many supporters including: the people of Moray, visitors from around the world, local businesses, schools, horticultural groups and “Friends of the Biblical Garden”.

The Garden uses the Bible as its reference point and displays many of the one hundred and ten plants mentioned in the scriptures.  Life size sculptures depict parables and stories from the Bible including The Good Shepherd, Moses receiving the Ten Commandments, The Prodigal Son and Samson in the Temple.
